Isaac Ouro-Gnao A multidisciplinary artist and freelance journalist, Isaac Ouro-Gnao’s impact in the dance world has been multifaceted; working as a dance artist, movement director, creative writer, producer and marketer for dance artists and companies. These include Kwame Asafo-Adjei’s Spoken Movement in award-winning Family Honour (2018); Andre Bright’s Be/Come (2018); Ella Mesma’s Foreign Bodies (2019); and Body Politic’s Father Figurine (2017-19). His unique movement draws from Hip Hop and West African styles. Isaac is inspired by facilitating empowering conversations that attempt to heal trauma around identity, with hopes to gain a strong ownership of who we are. Body Politic Founded in 2012 by Artistic Director, Emma-Jane Greig, Body Politic is a professional touring Hip Hop Theatre Company whose work addresses a range of socio-political issues. We also deliver a hugely successful outreach project in Oxford for young people aged 11-19yrs. Our enriching programme also offers accredited Dance Leadership training, paid opportunities and internships for young people keen to develop skills and increase knowledge their in dance. We provide a nurturing, enriching and supportive environment which works with young people from all backgrounds and ages to improve self-confidence and self-esteem through dance. Find our more here.
