Artist Biography
Kelsey has worked internationally as a dancer, model and choreographer for 10 years & has been active in the scene since he was 16 yrs old. ‘Hydro’ stands for the free flow movement and speed of how Kelsey presents his art or teachings. He likes to create an immersive and intense experience and to explore his insecurities and the problems he has faced within his creations and conceptual pieces.
Kelsey is an Ambassador for Nike Training London, inspiring the training scene through fitness and dance as well as a qualified Personal trainer and Fitness instructor running sessions weekly @kelseyhydromiller / www.hydrokelsey.co.uk
Having trained with Boy Blue Entertainment since 2011, as well as working with companies such as Avant Garde & At Your Beat, amongst others, Kelsey trained in Hip hop, Popping, Jazz, dancehall, Afrobeats, Krump and House and uses these styles to influence his own personal style which is also known as ‘Hydrography’
Kelsey has performed on stages such as the Barbican, Sadlers wells, Zalgiria Arena (Lithuania), SSE Arena, Latitude Festival and more UK and international venues and has danced with artists such as Cheryl Cole, Run DMC, Big Narstie, Koredo Bello, Ray Blk, Chipmunk, Will Smith and more!
“My journey hasn’t always been easy. I was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin lymphoma (Cancer) in my neck at the age of 17, 3 days before my 18th birthday in 2015. I was lucky enough to be cured in the early spring of 2016, however it has come with a lot of challenges and barriers that helped me grow into the artist and man I am today. One of my biggest aspirations is being able to connect with people through the art of dance and many of the workshops I have hosted have been inspired by touching personal emotions/past experiences. In the same way dance helped me through some difficult moments of my life I hope to inspire others who may benefit from using this as a form of release.”
